Lexington, KY - August 30, 2023 — Chris Daughtry's new tour is a perfect sentiment of Rock N' Roll and an emotional rush. Growing up and listening to Daughtry, you can truly hear how he has molded as an individual and how it shapes his music today. He has faced a lot of challenges within his life and screaming it out to the world not only gives us a peak into his life, but his therapy as well. Opening with "Desperation", you immediately get the hit of Daughtry's amazing voice and lyrics which draw us into his performance and sincerely tells us how the world is not in a state in which it needs to be on an emotional level. He states "Love to come and lead us home, Love is gonna mend these bones, desperation calls for love".

Later in the set, Daughtry plays a personal favorite of mine "September.” He wants us to reflect on life and take a true appreciation for our past even the bad parts and realize that with all of life's challenges we can always have it worse so enjoy our blessings that life has given us.

Mulitgenre artist Ayron Jones is a perfect addition to this tour. Ayron's music has a blended feel of classic 80s rock, soul, with a hint of country inspirations. In his set two songs stood out to me, "Take me Away" and His newest song released this year, "Blood in the Water".

“Blood in the Water” punches you with a powerful voice fueled with rage and reflection on life with mistakes and the mark we leave on lives. We all have our demons and our vices we use to cope and with Ayron screaming the lyrics out and putting his heart on his chest.

“Take Me Away” opens with the line, "The day my F@cking mom abandoned me was the day I learned to lie.” He proceeds to beg to be taken away from the loneliness he has experienced since this moment. He only wants to find peace and be able to move away from the situation he was put in. Ayron's voice in this song is very reminiscent of Steven Tyler's from Aerosmith with my opinion being an amazing fit for the story he's telling.

All being said, The Bare Bones Acoustic Tour will make you rock, sing your heart out, and make you think about what matters. With shows about every other day across the U.S. now through October 30, I really advise you to not only see the show but experience it.
