New Hope Club Press Conference

November 17, 2022 — Pop trio New Hope Club is back with their new releases, ‘Lush’ and ‘Walk It Out’!  We got to join in on an exclusive interview hosted by Universal Music Group’s °1824 where the band got to talk about the new releases, their sophomore album, and much more! 

One of the first questions they got to answer was ‘What inspired Lush and Walk it Out?’ 

Blake was the first to respond saying they had the video game FIFA in mind. They were huge fans of the soundtrack growing up so that was a big inspiration behind it. They also felt like these two songs represent how they sound live, so having live shows in mind was a huge part of it as well. 

The boys are currently preparing for their sophomore album and they’re super excited about it. Reece gave us some insight about the project by saying “We’ve written about our own experiences and it just feels good to be able to say this is a record made completely by us. We’ve made every decision in the process - everything in this album has a purpose.” 

After a few more questions we got a first look at their new video for ‘Walk It Out’ which is now available on the band's YouTube Page. The video includes clips of them playing shows in Asia.  They got to tell us a bit about their experience filming the video, George told us that the house they filmed in was a part of an old James bond movie. 

Before wrapping up the interview the boys got to answer a few more fun questions, One of them being “ Is there something you guys don't get asked that you wished you could talk about more". We got very humorous responses with Reece saying "No one asks me what my favorite color is, why does no one care about that?" 

This year has been super memorable for the group, and we're super excited for what's to come with the new album. It is definitely something you want to keep your eye out for!
